Description: Iron housing with doors on the side. Stamped two-piece dial frame with the theme: head of the sun with filled horns, basket of flowers with diagonal pattern, palmettes, oak leaves (Cp. G. Schmitt, Die Comtoise-Uhr, p. 141).
Complications: 3 bells, Grande Sonnerie, alarm
Dial: Enamel dial with roman numerals for the hours.
Hands: Brass hands shaped like a sun with a fine engraving. Brass alarm disc.
Movement: Pin-pallet Escapement by Amant. Three weight-driven movements with 8 days running period. Alarm with verge escapement.
Stroke: Rack striking-work with ¾ strick: Grande Sonnerie, repetition and manual repetition. Hour-strick on big bronze bell before quarter-strick on two smaller bronze bells.
Penduluml: Heavy lead filled fold-away pendulum with spring suspension.
